Our experience includes handling claims of discrimination based on race, gender, age, religion, national origin and disability, sexual harassment and retaliation, wage and hour, overtime pay, whistleblower protection, unemployment compensation, as well as medical leave claims and contract disputes.
We represent employers in employment matters at the administrative stage and in state and federal courts. We have achieved excellent results for our clients in claims pending before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, as well as in state and federal courts.
In addition to litigation, we provide advice and counsel to our clients in addressing, preventing and investigating claims. We work with clients to draft anti-discrimination policies and other business policies, employee handbooks and employment contracts, all of which are helpful in reducing exposure to employment related claims. We assist our clients in drafting policies and procedures relating to discipline and other terms of employment. Likewise, we advise clients on disciplinary issues and provide assistance with disciplinary hearings and appeals.
